Jason Roehrig '12 received the top student prize at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival in New York City. His documentary concentrated on the efforts to sustain the Amargosa toad population. The toad is found within a 10-mile radius of the Oasis Valley in the Amargosa Desert in Nevada. Roehrig developed the short film as part of his internship for the Western Landowners Alliance. Roehrig is a graduate student teaching cellular and molecular biology to undergraduate students at Montana State University.
