Tommy Rivera-Vega '11 appeared in the play “Support Group for Men” at Goodman Theatre in Chicago. According to a reviewer, “The darting, fast-talking Kevin, played by Tommy Rivera-Vega, is the most relaxed and playful of the four who keeps the group moving. Rivera-Vega portrays Kevin’s go-with-the-flow attitude with remarkable energy and flair as he seems to be able to adjust fluidly to the curve balls life throws.” The Chicago Tribune gave the show 3.5 stars.
Tommy Rivera-Vega ’11 performed at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre in “La Havana Madrid,” directed by Cheryl Lynn Bruce and conceived and written by Sandra Delgado. He is a member of Teatro Vista Ensemble, a theater company founded in 1990 to address the lack of opportunities for Latinx artists and other artists of color. He also played a small role in a TV episode of “Chicago P.D.”
