Megan Costanzo ‘16 took on the nation’s best harriers at the NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country Championship, running near the front early before crossing the finish line 42nd in the 280-runner field. She completed the 6,000-meter (3.7-mile) course in 21 minutes, 51.5 seconds, improving 39 spots from the 81st-place finish she achieved at the 2014 championship meet. Costanzo was sitting in 10th place after 2,000 meters as part of a large lead pack of 32 competitors. Some midrace contact caused her to lose one of her shoes for the remainder of the event. Her final season included a second-place finish in the CCIW Championships and a fifth-place showing at the Division III Midwest Region Championship.
