Marc Lamont Hill (pictured, above left), award-winning author, television host, activist and professor, delivered an inspiring keynote for North Central’s 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Week celebration. He is the author of “Nobody: Casualties of America’s War on the Vulnerable,” which critiques the injustices faced by the “Nobodies,” the groups that are systematically disadvantaged in America due to race, sexual orientation or income.
David W. Johnson ’07 (pictured, above right) spoke at the annual Prayer Breakfast honoring King. He attributed his career in international photography today to a spring break mission trip to El Salvador. “For those two weeks I started to see a light in people that I had never quite seen before,” said Johnson. “This focus became the framework for my calling.”
