North Central College is introducing flexible course offerings and new benefits to summer term. Beginning on June 11, summer school courses will include an expanded number of online as well as face-to-face and blended courses. Classes will meet in either an eight-week session or two, four-week sessions. Day and evening offerings will suit a wide variety of schedules.
Courses will include new studies in areas such as personal finance, digital writing, digital photography and social media management, as well as traditional subjects like organic chemistry.
The summer term offers fringe benefits, as well. With fewer students on campus, there are smaller class sizes, more individual attention from faculty and easier access to parking, dining options and other campus services. The College has also worked to make summer courses more affordable. Summer tuition is 27 percent less per credit hour than summer 2017.
